The need of a hero is not the looks of Dr Raj or Dr Vishnu. This is proved again and again. All Tom Dick and Harry make attempt in the independent India to come before the camera. After all it is their money and it is their whims and fancies.

Here is Raja from ‘Pokari Raaja’. Raja has theatre background. He has made debut with his best friend Prakash of STF Company as producer. Prakash is Gram Panchayat member running his factory in Jigani. For Prakash the casual chat on film making made him to take up a film seriously as producer.


Shankar is turning independent director from this film. Ramya and Shuba are counterparts.  This is my 16th attempt as music director disclosed music director KM Indira.


According to Raja he is ‘pokari’ wayward according to his father. His intentions turn for good in the end and his father also realizes the good qualities of his son. There is morality fed in the film he says.
